Technote is a major technology media platform delivering the latest global and local tech news to Azerbaijani readers. Over time, the website became visually outdated and difficult to navigate, affecting both readability and user engagement. The goal of this redesign was to create a cleaner, more modern, and highly functional experience that aligns with current UX standards and the platform’s content-heavy nature.
Design Approach
The redesign follows a mobile-first strategy, supported by a modular grid system that adapts across all screen sizes. The color palette is intentionally minimal—based on black and white—to reflect clarity, balance, and a timeless visual identity. Special attention was given to dark mode, considering modern devices’ optimized displays and user preference for low-light reading.
Typography
To maintain visual consistency, I used a single font family across the entire interface. • Roboto Flex for headings: strong, modern, and expressive • Roboto for body text: clean, neutral, and optimized for long-form readability
This combination creates a clear hierarchy and improves scanning behavior throughout the platform.
Key Improvements • Modern, distraction-free interface • Strong visual hierarchy and content rhythm • Fully redesigned article reading experience • Responsive card-based layout • Dark & light mode compatibility • Enhanced mobile navigation and readability
The final result is a polished, accessible, and future-friendly news platform that elevates Technote’s digital presence and delivers a significantly better reading experience for its audience.
